The Pretty, Pretty Planet
By

There’s a planet full of peppermints and paper dolls.
Every evening there a purple pony prances past
a pretty princess who is practicing her promenade.
Upon a lovely lane that’s lit by lightning bugs
the pony and the paper dolls play peek-a-boo
from behind the peppermints.
The princess in her puffy dress is twirling,
twirling down the lovely lane that’s lit by lighting bugs
and laced with pink petunias.
Please, please come be our playmate, (Name),
All the people on the pretty planet plead.
The pretty planet’s name is Land,
Land of Lullabies.
The purple pony says that you can pet him
And plait his hair in pony pigtails, if you come, (Name).
The princess says that you can promenade
In her parade, if you come, (Name).
The paper dolls and pony will play peek-a-boo with you if you come, (Name).
Every thing that you pretend Is there within
The pretty, pretty planet,
The land of lullabies.
